Fort Boggy State
Park is open Wednesdays through Sundays and closed on Mondays
and Tuesdays. Swimming, fishing, hiking and mountain biking is
allowed. There is a boat ramp and the lake (approximately 15
acres) is open to small boats, canoes, kayaks, etc.
The park has a
beautiful beach, swimming area and 2 hiking/mountain bike/nature
trails. An open air group pavilion is made of stone/rock
(bottom) and timbers (top). The pavilion sits on a hill,
overlooking the lake, with a beautiful view. There are picnic
tables in the pavilion and a BBQ pit in the back. The pavilion
will hold approximately 50 people. Facilities include: restrooms
without showers; a hiking trail around the lake that's being
completed; and several picnic tables close to the lake.
